Foldable iPad concept render surfaces online: This is how it could look like?
The foldable trend seems like it will not fade away until next year. The trend has been first seen on phones and then even on Nubia’s smartwatch. But why stop at just phones? Why not foldable iPad? I mean it would be great if 12.9-inch iPad Pro could be folded down to half its size for better portability.
When brands like Xiaomi and OnePlus who showcased their prototype, however, they are still in development. How come Apple has been secretive about its plans regarding the foldable phone – ya, I mean iPad. Anyways, now Dutch site LetsGoDigital has created concept renders that show what the foldable iPad of the future might look like. The render of foldable iPad hints that the company might be experimenting with flexible displays which we could see in the future.

This is a mere concept render, based on leaks and speculation. So, we are not expecting Apple to launch a foldable iPad anytime soon. Even it’s not sure if this might actually see the light of the day. The Company is, however, known for its reluctance to be ‘the first’. I mean, keeping an eye on a rival is ‘OK’ but why there is a need to follow? But I do believe Apple could do it much better than what Samsung and Huawei did to their devices. And why wouldn’t it – after all it has seen and learned from their mistakes.
Jumping back to the leaked renders of foldable iPad, the sample displays measured 7.2-inches which is smaller than the display of Samsung Galaxy Fold. Further, It uses a reverse mechanism like Huawei Mate X. However, keeping the pliable screen on the outside might lead to scuffs and scratches.
