Asus Zenbook S13 With A Reverse Display Notch To Be Introduced At CES 2019
CES 2019 will start from January 8. However, Companies have started making announcements at the conference on Sunday. The Company claims to have created the “world’s slimmest display bezel”. The Asus Zenbook S13 will be the first one to have slimmest bezels. The laptop comes with a reverse display notch.
There’s nothing to worry about the webcam placement. As Asus has created a notch at the top to squeeze a webcam instead of sticking the webcam beneath the display, on its keyboard, or even removing it altogether. This means that reverse notch display is not the same as what we have on iPhone or the latest Android handsets.
Asus Zenbook S13 Features
As per the reports, The slim bezel display is 97 percent screen-to-body ratio. The company hides the bottom notch of the display behind the keyboard. Further, The bezels are 2.5mm on either side of the 13.9-inch 1080p display. So, It can be said that the overall footprint is less than most 13-inch laptops. Inside the ZenBook S13, It comes with 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage.
The display remains clean with ultra-thin bezels. However, the small bump at the top is acceptable, considering the fact it has been placed on the laptop and not the smartphone. Coming on to the connectivity features, There are ports on the device which include 2 USB-C, 1 USB-A, and a microSD reader. It also incorporates a fingerprint sensor in the trackpad for added security.
Above all, it comes with add-on discrete graphics into the laptop. Nvidia’s GeForce MX150 GPU will be available, good news for gamers. These laptops should be capable of running even the latest titles at low resolutions. According to TheVerge’s report, Asus will launch the ZenBook S13 in Q1, but the company has not yet released US pricing.
