Asus ROG Gaming Lineup With GeForce RTX GPUs Launched in India

Asus launched ROG Zephyrus, ROG Strix II, and ROG Scar II in India for starting price of Rs 1,64,990

First unveiled at CES 2019 in January, Asus has now brought its latest ROG gaming laptops in India. The gaming range includes Asus ROG Zephyrus, Strix Scar, and Strix Hero. Alongside, the brand brings the gaming desktop PC as well – all of them features new Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics processors. Further, the Company is promising fast 144Hz displays and new 8th Gen ‘Coffee Lake’ Intel Core CPUs across this new lineup along with slim screen borders and thin, light designs with innovative cooling solutions.

Those who are looking forward to buying the gaming laptops, new Strix Scar and Strix Hero models are available in India starting Monday. Price for both the range starts at Rs. 1,64,990 onwards. On the other hand, the new 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch Asus ROG Zephyrus models will be available starting on April 11. As far as the ROG Zephyrus price in India is concerned it starts at Rs 3,29,990.

Asus ROG Zephyrus S Specifications

Starting up with the high-end model ROG Zephyrus S (GX701), it packs 17-inches Full HD (1920 X 1080) display with 144Hz 3ms response time display and 81 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. The Asus ROG Zephyrus further has an AAS cooling system that sustains high performance via efficient cooling.

The next comes the ROG Zephyrus S (GX531) which sports a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms response rate, 100 percent sRGB. Unlike top-end variant, It features NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and is powered by the latest Intel Core i7-8750H CPU. The laptop features 12V anti-dust cooling fans, 5 heat pipes, and 4 heat sinks. In terms of storage, the laptop packs 16GB DDR4 2666MHz SDRAM and 512GB SSD M.2 NVMe PCIE storage. as for the connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 Wave 2 WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0, and runs on Windows 10 Home.

Asus ROG Strix Scar II and Hero II Specifications

Both the scar and hero range looks similar but targets a different type of gaming audience. While The Scar series aims at first-person shooter (FPS) players the Hero series aims Multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) players. Former features a gunmetal finish on the lid with red accents, and printed camouflage pattern. On the other hand, The Hero series comes with a black finish with a cyber-text printed pattern.

Moving onto their specifications, both of them features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS-level displays with 144Hz, 3ms, and 100 percent sRGB. The two are powered by the 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H six-core CPU with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics with 6GB VRAM as standard. However, there is also a Strix SCAR II variant which comes with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with 8GB VRAM. Both the Strix SCAR II and Hero II feature the HyperCool Pro for thermal dissipation. In terms of connectivity, they include features such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 Wave 2 WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0.

Asus Gaming Desktop PC

Apart from Asus ROG Zephyrus and the other two ranges Company has also announced three variants of its ROG GL12 CX gaming desktop. Out of the three, base variant offers an Intel Core i7-8700 CPU, Nvidia RTX 2070, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD and 1TB hard drive. It carries a price tag of Rs 2,13,990. Moving further to the second variant which packs RAM to 32GB with a 2TB hard drive.

Lastly, The top-end variant features a 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9900K CPU, Nvidia RTX 2080 GPU, Intel Z390-based motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD and 2TB hard drive. This one is available at Rs 3,29,990. All the models offer DVD-RW drives, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.
