Oppo has new sub-brand ‘Reno’: Here’s all you should know about first Reno Smartphone
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo has its second sub-brand named ‘Reno’. Oppo Reno also shared the smartphone series’ colorful logo on Twitter. The logo possibly indicates that the new smartphone line will cater to the younger crowd.
The new sub-brand was made official on Weibo via a post on the official account. The news about Reno was later confirmed to the rest of the world by Alex MacGregor, Oppo’s global PR head, on Twitter. His tweet read, “Let’s shake things up a bit. More soon. #OPPOReno.” Oppo is expected to launch its first Reno smartphone in China on April 10, 2019.
As we know, Realme is the Oppo’s first sub-brand which targets the budget segment. Unlike Realme, Oppo Reno could launch youth-centric premium devices but nothing is confirmed as yet.
This is how first Oppo Reno smartphone could look like
The above image leaked is probably a first Oppo Reno smartphone. As per the reports, the device could feature a 6.4-inch display along with a dual-lens rear camera offering 48MP+5MP sensors.
Unfortunately, this is very little information available as of date about this phone, its model name, specifications, and features etc. Oppo reveals the Reno’s logo which appears quite colorful leading the observers to make a guess that the device might be aimed at the youth.
Just to recall, Oppo (at MWC 2019) had said that its 10x lossless zoom technology was mass production ready and that it will be integrated into its next smartphone released in Q2 2019. If this leak holds any weight, Company could first be bringing the technology to the Oppo’s Reno.
