Xiaomi Mi Play Features A Circular Camera Notch And Dual Rear Camera Setup
The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi unveiled the new smartphone named Mi Play. The Xiaomi Mi Play comes with the circular notch which is not the same as we found on Samsung Galaxy A8s and Huawei Nova 4. It is the first Xiaomi’s smartphone to have a notch which equips the camera inside it. The circular camera notch, kind of waterdrop notch is centrally-aligned.
Xiaomi Mi Play Price And Availability
Earlier, The device comes was launched only in one variant i.e. 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Later, two more variants, 6GB RAM + 64GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage were launched.
The variant with 4GB RAM is available in China at a price of CNY 1,099(roughly Rs.11,000). Whereas, The other two variants of Xiaomi Mi Play have been launched at a price of Rs.13,200 and Rs.16,300 respectively.
As of now, the phone is available in China only. It is expected to be launched globally on February 24 next year. However, There are no official words on the same.
Xiaomi Mi Play Features And Specifications
The Company has focused more on designs rather on the hardware. On the hardware front, the device is powered by an octa-core 2.3 GHz MediaTek Helio P35 (12nm chipset) coupled with GPU Turbo graphics. Whereas, on the software front it runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10.
The Xiaomi Mi Play features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080×2280 pixels(432 PPI) and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Further, the phone comes packed with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD. The device is backed by 3000mAh battery.
Xiaomi’s newly announced smartphone measures 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.80 and weighs 150.00 grams. All the variants will be available in Black, Dream Blue and Twilight Gold options along with a gradient finish.
Camera Features
It sports a dual camera setup on the rear panel which includes a primary sensor of a 12-MP and secondary sensor of 2MP. Whereas, On the Front, there is a single 8MP sensor. The front camera is said to come packed with lots of AI features. The AI features include AI micro plastic beauty mode for clicking beautiful and blemish free selfies.
Connectivity Features
As far as the connectivity features are concerned, the device includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G. Sensors onboard include a fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope. It also has a rear mount fingerprint sensor.
The MIUI 10 user interface enables to use features like navigation gestures, new recent menu, picture-in-picture mode, lots of AI, among others. Above that, Xiaomi Mi Play comes with CPU, GPU dual Turbo which claims to have improved graphics. Hopefully, the gamers will have a great gaming experience with the Mi Play.
