These iPad Pros were thinner than ever with less bezel around the display. However, there were questions as to whether they’re durable enough. Over the last few days, iPad Pro 2018 users have been complaining about the noticeable bend in the device. The owner’s reaction seems normal after spending a minimum of Rs.57K on the brand new iPad. Above that durability test was also conducted by the famous YouTuber, JerryRigEverything. What he found was extremely shocking, the tablet folded like a sheet of paper. This means that no blunt force, objects or other hardware tools were required to get it to bend. The users were hoping to get a solution to Apple iPad Pro Bend. Here’s what Apple replied.

What did Apple say About Its iPad Pro Bend?

According to what Apple confirmed to The Verge, some of the 2018 iPad Pros have a ‘slight bend’ in the aluminum chassis, and has called it a “side effect of the manufacturing process.” As per the report, Apple does not consider the bend as a major defect. Though it promised that the problem will not get worse over the time, nor it will impact the performance.Apple iPad Pro 2018

This happened due to the cooling process involving the iPad Pro’s metal and plastic components during manufacturing, According to what Apple reported to The Verge.

The response came over after the customers’ complaints started summing up on social media and MacRumors Forums. The users claimed to have a slight bend without any abnormal stress exerted on the casing. Some of them faced the same issue while they carried it in their backpack. Above all, there were few customers who claimed to have the bend in their iPad when they unpacked it out of the box.

Apple says it stands behind the durability of the iPad Pro, but it is not the first time that users are facing this bending issue. Earlier, it was found in iPhone 6. Above that, those bends also got worse over time.  But now it promises not to appear to be an issue that shows up over time. Moreover, Those who are annoyed by the bend shouldn’t have any trouble exchanging or returning their iPad Pro at the Apple Store or other retailers within the 14-day return window.
