All Realme Phones Will Get Android Pie Update In 2019
Realme started as a sub-brand of Oppo, Recently it forged its new identity with a great following. The Realme range has become popular among buyers in India. Realme, to make its popularity consistent, its phones will receive Android Pie update in the first half of 2019. The Tweet by the official handle of the Realme India Support team confirms the good news for realme users.
Realme did not reveal any specific details. The tweet just mentioned, ‘Realme phones launched till date will get the latest Android 9.0 update in Q1 or Q2 2019’. This means all the Realme Phones including Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1, Realme U1 etc will receive an Android Pie update.
What New Features Will Be Introduced With Android Pie Update?
The new update brings the new features like Dashboard, which analyses the amount of time one spends on an application. The Android Pie update also brings new DND mode which turns the display in greyscale. The Wind Down mode switches on during the night light. Along with this, there are new gesture controls, a new pill-shaped icon for navigations, refined notifications and Quick Settings, vertical volume controls and new power menu among others. With a new update, you can expect performance improvements, bug fixes, etc. for the Color OS.
Recently, the Realme 1 received an update to ColorOS 5.2, adding one swipe dismiss for notifications, a headset icon in the status bar, new desktop icons and a smart bar for seamless multitasking. On the other hand, The Realme 2 Pro also got an update that added the single swipe gestures to dismiss notifications and improved front-facing selfie camera quality.
Reason Behind Bringing An Update To Realme Phones
Realme 2 Pro users have reported an issue of battery drain problems via tweets. In order to fix this issue, Realme has rolled out an update which will be there by 2019. Still, the TouchPal keyboard on the Realme device is causing the battery to drain real fast, which the Company may possibly fix it with security patch.
