OnePlus 7 Pro will get this powerhouse of a camera, but is it really needed?
Remember those days when we were proud of our 1.3MP camera-enabled phones, back in our college days? Gone are those days, enter the era of massive megapixels and a gazillion sensors in phone cameras. Yes, in 2019 this seems pretty normal and OnePlus 7 Pro is about to be the next mainstream smartphone with a triple rear camera. Apple, Samsung, Oppo and now for OnePlus, having triple rear cameras are the new USP to sell their phones.
The question remains why do we need three rear cameras on a phone? Just for the record, the OnePlus 7 Pro gets a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary sensor besides an 8MP tertiary camera. It might sound awe-inspiring but think once, what do you gain with all these? Well, it’s important for those who love to click photographs using their phones only. This triple camera setup will enhance the low light image quality ensuring better light sensitivity even in very low light or in the night as well.
Being a bit old-school guy, I found it weird to hold a phone with three gigantic sensors at the back. Instead, I would go for a DSLR to capture my moments in the mountains or seaside. However, many people will definitely love this phone. So, what does this phone offer? Besides those sensors at the back, the OnePlus 7 Pro is also expected to come with a sleek 6.64-inch curved Quad HD+ Super AMOLED 90hz display with a pop-up front camera.
It will have 4000mAH battery, dual speaker and USB 3.1 connectivity. The OnePlus 7 Pro will arrive with its sibling OnePlus 7 that will get a dual rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. It will sport a flat 6.4-inch screen with a waterdrop notch display. Both the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC. OnePlus might launch the new 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 in India on May 14. While there is no confirmation yet, the brand is expected to announce the detail on April 23, 2019.
