This additional data is an App-only offer from the respective telecoms
It came after when BSNL and Airtel started offering more data for their existing prepaid recharge plans, that Idea and Vodafone too started following the suit. This is becoming an active customer retaining drive from the largest telecoms of India.
Idea and Vodafone are now giving away 400 MB extra data per day to all customers who recharge from the company’s app. The benefit is available on Rs 399 and Rs 499 prepaid recharge packs.
This latest offering of Vodafone-Idea’s latest tackles Airtel, who started the attractive extra data of 400MB scheme. however, Airtel is doing this since May 2019 and Vodafone-Idea took 2 months to realize the fact.
This particular offer can only be availed by the customer if he/she recharges the pack through My Idea Recharge and Payments mobile app. The offer will let the subscribers download the mobile app which in turn will increase the company’s revenue. New offer of extra data is available of Rs 399 and Rs 499 prepaid recharges. This is basically an increase in the daily data usage limit for the subscribers.

In the same way, Vodafone customers will have to download and install My Vodafone app to avail the offer. On the Vodafone too, the offer is valid for two recharge pack, ie, Rs 399 and Rs 499. The daily benefit will increase in the same way as it happens for Idea customers.
If we speak about the recharge packs, Idea’s Rs 499 prepaid pack offers 2 GB per day of data. And with the new offer, the data limit shall be increased to 2.4 Gb per day. In the Rs 399 pack, the data in a day is limited at 1 GB per day which will increase to 1.4 GB per day. Same is the case with Vodafone recharge packs.
