Nokia 9 PureView Could Launch In January 2019 With Penta-Lens Camera And In-Display Fingerprint Sensor
As per the reports, HMD Global is planning to launch its next flagship smartphone, Nokia 9 PureView with Penta-Lens camera. For now, we’ve seen smartphones with a triple camera setup or even a quad-camera setup. Huawei was the one to launch World’s first triple camera smartphone in its P20 Pro. Whereas, Samsung Galaxy A9 is the World’s first smartphone with Quad-camera setup.
Having multiple-camera setup is the new feature trending in the market. HMD Global may launch Nokia 9 PureView in January 2019 with not two, not three, not even four but with five cameras at the back panel.
Latest Leaks Of Nokia 9 PureView
The reports by Nokia Anew and Evan Blass indicates that the HMD Global flagship will come in January 2019 itself after CES is over. However, It might not launch the Nokia 9 PureView at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona as was the case with Nokia 8 Sirrocco.
As per the leaked images by Evan Blass, There will be an LED flash at the back along with Zeiss branded rear cameras. Alongside, The press render suggests an in-display fingerprint sensor on the Nokia 9 PureView. The smartphone also appears to have Android One branding at the back. It also shows a thin-bezel, flat display panel that doesn’t have any curved edges on the device.

If earlier reports turn out to be true, then Nokia 9 will have a 5.9-inch QHD+ resolution display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The leaked images of the device show a notch-less display. Further, It is likely to sport 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and run Android 9 Pie out of the box. It will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor. However, it may pick the new Snapdragon 855 chipset for the flagship device.
Why Nokia 9 PureView Launch Delayed?
Due to some technical issues and sub-par camera performance, HMD Global had to delay the release of the Nokia 9. It hasn’t yet officially announced an official date for the launch. But it is expected to launch in early 2019.
