An Eulogy To The Legendary Stan Lee-The Creator of Comic Icons!
So it has happened, Stan Lee died on Monday at the age of 95. The legendary comic book writer was as, if not more famous than the characters he created. Stan was also very famous(and loved!) for his frequent appearances in front of the camera. But not many people knew the man before he became Stan Lee.
Stanley Martin Lieber (Stan Lee) started his career in 1939 as an assistant at Timely Comics and later became a Co-Creator of iconic comic characters like Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Daredevil and the X-Men. Gradually he became the real superhero for everyone.
When he started writing Comic stories, he used his pen name Stan Lee which he later on adopted as his legal name.
A man who despite his age did not stop creating such amazing cameos.
As a Tribute to the great man behind everyone’s happiness and excitement here’s a look back to some of its legendary contributions in the comic world.
A fictional character created by him along with Steve Ditko in the 1960s which was the nascent Marvel’s highest-selling comics. Spider-Man became an instant hit after its introduction as a comic.
It was not appreciated just as a comic but also was loved by everyone when it was introduced as animated series in 1994 and then the movie in 2002. After the release of Spider-man(2002), Spider-man 2 and 3 were released in 2004 and 2007 respectively.
Based on these Marvel comics, Amazing Spider-man was released in 2012 with its sequel in 2014.
Until their creative juices start secreting, the last movie released was the Spider-man Homecoming in 2017.
Fantastic Four came up with its first issue in 1961 which was obviously created by none other than Stan Lee along with Jack Kirby.
After the success of the comic book, it has been adapted into other media, including four animated series and four live-action films.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Apart from such amazing character which resonates with readers, Lee created The Incredible Hulk Comics along with Jack Kirby. This fictional character was introduced in 1962 with the title Tales To Astonish.
In 1968, it was renamed as Incredible Hulk to issue its second volume. Immortal Hulk was the last issue by Lee in June 2018.
Same as other fictional characters, this was also adopted by other media; animated series(1966) and movies.
Stan Lee with his Co-writer Jack Kirby made a team of Superheroes; X-MEN. these characters have appeared in numerous books, television shows, films, and video games.
Animated television series was debuted on October 31, 1992. Along with this eleven movies were released from 2000-2018. Even after eleven releases, Movies like Dark Phoenix, The New Mutants and Gambit are being planned to release in 2019 and 2020.
No one can forget those indelible Cameos by Stan Lee, The Legendary Creator of Comic Icons. Rest In Peace there Legend! For there was no one like you.
