Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with Full metal unibody Designed for one-hand use
The Chinese company Xiaomi has launched its latest big-screen smartphone and its called Mi Max 2 in India on 18th of July at price tag of Rs 16,999. The device comes from the same series of Xiaomi Max smartphone that were launched in may an event in Beijing.
Xiaomi has also tied up with Reliance Jio and Jio is offering extra 100GB data to Xiaomi Mi Max 2 buyers. The Mi Max 2 will be available starting July 27 on online platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon Tatacliq, and Paytm as well as offline. Along side the launch, Xiaomi announced that the company is opening two more Mi Homes in Bangalore.
The Mi Max 2 is a powerful smartphone which comes with new features at a mid-range price. The company has included fingerprint scanner and Gorilla glass that makes the device more secure and protected.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a 6.44-inch FHD IPS LCD type multi touch display with a resolution of (1920 x 1080 pixels), and the pixel density is 344 ppi (pixel per inch) which indicates a sharp display with natural and realistic looking images. There’s Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone has a metal unibody design.
The smartphone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, which is an octa-core one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage on the board which can be expandble up to 128GB via microSD card. This is the same processor on the current Redmi Note 4 smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is has 12MP rear camera with a dual LED flash and the aperture of f2.2. The other features of the rear camera are exposure compensation, ISO control, continuous shooting, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), touch to focus etc. The 5MP front camera with f2.0 aperture can be used to take selfies and make video calls.
It comes in Matte Black color variant, this variant is exclusive to India, with Xiaomi saying it was motivated by the fact the Matte Black variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 were the most popular in the country.
