Asus Zenpad Z8S Tablet has unibody metal design
Asus launched the Verizon-exclusive Zenpad Z8S tablet in the U.S. It was first launched at the Computex 2017 event held in Taipei in May 2017. The Asus Zenpad Z8S tablet comes with the Unibody Metal Design and packs mid-range specifications. As of now, there is no information about the international availability of this tablet. The tablet is priced at $250 and is now available for purchase exclusively via US operator Verizon Wireless. The tablet comes only in standard Gray color.
The Tablet has 7.9-inch QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixel) IPS display. It comes with the 1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor (4x 1.4GHz ARM A53 + 2 x 1.8 GHz ARM A72), which is paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM. The tablet runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system on top of which lies the ZenUI. A 4,680mAh non-removable lithium-polymer battery powers this tablet which claims to offer usage time of up to 12 hours and 300 hours of standby time. For cameras, the ZenPad Z8s has a respectable 13-megapixel resolution camera at the back, coupled with a 5-megapixel camera on the front.
As for pricing, Verizon is currently selling the new ASUS ZenPad Z8s outright for just shy of $250 USD. Of course, new customers can pick the tablet up at a discounted $150 with a two-year contract and current customers can also take advantage of that price by renewing their contract. Payment plans are available for those who qualify as well, with payments as low as $10.41 per month over a period of two years. That’s a pretty reasonable price with consideration for the upper mid-range specs packed into the ZenPad Z8s.
