Smartphone manufacturer HTC has just announced a price cut on its flagship smartphone HTC 10 in India.

The smartphone was launched back in May 2016, in direct competition to Samsung’s flagship phones in Galaxy lineup and was priced at Rs. 52,990. HTC has now slashed the price of the smartphone by Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 47,990, effective immediately.

While, the Taiwanese company says that the price cut is for the festive season, it has not specified whether or not it is a limited period offer. HTC recently announced that HTC 10 will be the first of company’s smartphones to get Android Nougat 7.0 update, which is expected to come true sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
