The new GoPro that packs a huge punch. GoPro Fusion 360 Degree camera was launched in San Mateo on 20th April 2017. It is a 5.2K spherical camera designed to be the ultimate capture device for both fully immersive virtual reality content and photo formats.

This camera is capable of capturing footage at enormous 5.2 K resolution and notice whilst looking closely into the teaser image. The GoPro Fusion comes with an OverCapture feature that lets you capture non-VR photos and videos from the 2.5K spherical video in HD-quality. The Fusion is capable for both VR and non-VR content. The camera is also small enough to use with GoPro mounts and accessories.

This lets you record in all directions and then choose the composition and angle you want for your shot during post-production, thus granting you more creative freedom when creating fixed-perspective video and high-quality still images.

Other details about the Fusion are scarce: There aren’t photos showing what the camera looks from all sides, info on specs and features, or details on pricing. GoPro is currently launching a pilot program for the new camera if you’re interested in being one of the first users when a limited commercial release kicks off in the summer of 2017.
