Oneplus 5 vs Oneplus 3: Oneplus 5 which is the most recent launch by the go-to company for high specs and low cost is enjoying its immense popularity. When compared to other flagship smartphones like iPhone 7 and Samsung S8, Oneplus delivers almost all the features at thousands of rupees cheaper. Launched in June 2017 it’s the successor of Oneplus 3 which was launched one year ago in June 2016. What are the differences between these two very popular smartphones? Let’s find out.

The first noticeable difference is the dual camera feature in Oneplus 5 which has a primary camera of 16 megapixel and a secondary camera of 20 megapixels compared to single camera ion Oneplus 3 which has a 16 megapixel camera. Other major difference is the availability of storage variations; Oneplus 5 has two variations namely 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage space and 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage space. While oneplus 5 has the latest Snapdragon 835 processor Oneplus 3 has slower Snapdragon 820 processor.

While Oneplus 3 weighs 158 grams Oneplus 5 weighs 153 grams which is minor but still remarkable difference. Oneplus 3 has Bluetooth 4.2 which has been upgraded in Oneplus 5 which has Bluetooth 5.0. Oneplus 5 is launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat; Oneplus 3 can also be upgraded to Android 7.1.1 which was initially launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Oneplus 3 was available in two colours which were distinguishable namely Graphite and Soft Gold, but Oneplus 5 has just two variations which are more or less the same – Midnight Black and Slate Gray.

Both the phones share a lot of similarities which is a let-down when you expect and wait eagerly for the new phone from any company and especially from Oneplus which takes a lot of effort to satisfy the needs of their customers.
