OnePlus has announced its next killer flagship smartphone OnePlus 5 to be launched in India on June 22, 2017
OnePlus 5 to be launched In India: After huge rumors of OnePlus 5, the company announced to launch the latest smartphone called OnePlus 5. The OnePlus 5 will debut via an online live stream that starts at 5 pm UK time (12 pm EDT), as well as at several pop-up events in London, New York, and other cities in Europe. The smartphone will make its way to India via a June 22 event, scheduled at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai at 2 pm IST.
The brand has also tweeted an image with a tagline “Focus on what matters”, which could mean that the upcoming smartphone will bank heavily on the camera department. The smartphone has already reported to sport a dual-camera setup. OnePlus has also announced a partnership with DxO, the company behind the well-known photography benchmark DxOMark. This presumably indicates that OnePlus is making changes to its camera setup, which has been a weak point for its devices in the past.
Let’s talk about the features of the smartphone: The OnePlus 5 runs on Oxygen OS (is a customized version of the Android operating system developed by Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus exclusively for their smartphones) based on Android and packed with Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835, Octa-core processor with 8GB DDR4 RAM. The size of the smartphone is 5.5-inch with optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The OnePlus 5 comes 23-MP primary camera with digital zoom, Auto Fash, Face detection, LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. The selfie camera comes with 16-MP same as primary camera features except for flash. The camera of this smartphone is better than the last year OnePlus 3T smartphone.
It has 4000mAh battery inside that you love to use and let’s not forget Dash Charging with that. Dash Charge is a new quick-charge technology from OnePlus. It promises to provide 63% of a full charge in just 30 minutes of charging. The 4000mAh battery will give us more than a day’s usage without the need to recharge. The price of OnePlus 5 smartphone is Rs 36,999 in India.
