GoPro Fusion 360-degree Camera Will Fuse Six GoPros Into One

GoPro Fusion is the new camera with a 360-degree view

GoPro Fusion is the new camera which is expected to release soon – and surprisingly it’s not an action cam. GoPro Fusion is a 360 – degree camera which was introduced a day after Facebook announced it’s new 360 – degree cameras. The device can shoot 5.2K resolution VR and non – VR videos and photos. On April 20, 2017, GoPro Inc. announced a pilot program for GoPro Fusion and professional content creators can apply to participate in the pilot program which is expected to roll out during the summer of 2017.

“Fusion is just that, the ability to capture every angle simultaneously…as though you had six GoPro cameras fused into one,” said GoPro founder and CEO, Nicholas Woodman. Woodman has also mentioned in the past that he wants customers in the future to be able to record their activities with one multi-lensed GoPro as well as create a matching 2D video for sharing via a phone app. Fusion represents the state-of-the-art in the versatile spherical capture. GoPro Fusion is compatible with a broad range of GoPro’s mounts and handheld accessories. It allows you the freedom to capture special moments without having to worry about framing your subject.

To further improve the user experience and produce inspiring content that demonstrates creative potential of Fusion, Go Pro will be working closely with a selection of pilot partners- including brands, agencies and content professionals this summer. The pricing and other detailed specifics are expected to disclose at a limited commercial release of GoPro Fusion by the end of 2017.
