Panasonic has offered 4K movie and 4K photo service on the Lumix FT7 alongside a watertight, freezeproof, dustproof, and pressure-resistant build. But, what makes the USP of this 2018 Lumix Model is the built-in Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) which is accompanied by an LCD monitor. It’ll be available for purchase starting July.

Panasonic Lumix FT7 Specifications

The EVF on the Panasonic Lumix FT7 is 0.2-inch in size and has a resolution of 1,170k-dot along with 0.45 of magnification. It helps you capture shots under bright sunlight and conserves battery life to an extent. What’s more, the rugged camera has a 3-inch LCD screen on the back with a 1,040k-dot resolution along with also a tempered-glass protection. This combo of the EVF and LCD monitor makes the Panasonic Lumix FT7 a step ahead of its competitors, such as the Nikon Coolpix W300, that doesn’t have a dedicated EVF to preview shots.

The camera supports burst shooting 10fps with single autofocus and uses 49-point contrast-detect autofocus to enable 5fps with continuous AF. Further, you can take 4K video at 24p and 30p, full-HD (1080p) at 60p, and HD (720p) in 120p. There are also modes like time-lapse shooting, 22 creative filters, along with a panorama mode with support for both vertical and horizontal panoramas. Similarly, the camera contains a 4K Photo feature that allows you to extract 8-megapixel variant of images by a 30fps video.

Images may also be geo-tagged using GPS. The camera also has a Micro-HDMI port along with a Micro-USB interface

For action fans, the construct of this Lumix FT7 is waterproof up to 31 metres as well as can withstand shocks from around 2 metres, and may work in an environment with temperature as down as -10-degree Celsius. The camera can also resist a pressure of up to 100kg. Moreover, you will find attributes to change the Lumix FT7 to a torchlight or use its onboard compass and altimeter.
