Pokeland for Android and iOS exclusive for Japan.

Pokeland for Android and iOS is the newest app from The Pokemon Company.  It follows the coming of Pokemon: Magikarp Jump and Pokemon Duel.  And while these two have experienced a release outside of Japan, it appears that PokeLand will not be available any time.

Much like Pokemon Go, a Internet connection is required by PokeLand and contrary to other programs in the franchise, this links to a Nintendo account.  What this indicates is, you might be able to use your Mii in-game.  This also means the app may feature Nintendo My Gains – the reward points program which grants users access to games, discounts, and in-app products of the company.

The game is similar to games in the Pokemon Rumble series for Nintendo consoles such as Wii U, the Wii, and 3DS wherein gamers command Pokemon in battle against a variety of Pokemon that is other across a number of arenas or islands, in this case. These arenas are well suited for the small screens of android as well as iOS phones. With terrific graphics the new launch looks promising.

Based on Kotaku, the PokeLand alpha test has six islands, 52 phases, and 134 types of Pokemon.  Throughout the period of the evaluation, progression is restricted to the Champion Tower’s floor.  User data will be deleted when it finishes and advancement will be reset.

In the time of this story, The Pokemon Company has declared a Japan-only alpha evaluation for Android devices which begins now and ends on June 9.
